So this past Sunday saw the Frozen arc come to an end and the set-up for the Queens of Darkness begin.
In hindsight what were your thoughts of the first half of the season?
For me, I thought it was tastefully done, I believed the live-action portrayals of the characters and the story was interesting and exciting once it got started. I loved the Snow Queen's character and I thought Elizabeth Mitchell done a brilliant job with her. it was so sad when she sacrificed herself! Now i'm not a fan of Frozen, I feel there's just too much hype surrounding the film against the actual quality of the film so I was worried back in the spring when it was revealed that Frozen was coming to Storybrooke, but I have to say it, I didn't mind the characters and flashbacks! And i was pleased they brought in elements of the actual Snow Queen fairytale Frozen was supposedly based on.
Also, what did you think of Outlaw Queen's storyline in the finale?
I thought it was heartbreaking that Regina still didn't get her happy ending, but to be honest, if she got her happy ending what could they do with her storylines? I feel she should finally get her happy ending when the whole series comes to a close.
Rumpbelle's shock twist?
I loved it, and finally Belle got to actually do something other than say a few lines and float about the background!I still don't know how Gold will get back to Storybrooke considering Belle has told him to never return, unless Maleficent (being the only Queen actually in Storybrooke at this time) steals the dagger and summons Gold back. Any thoughts on how this could potentially play out in the latter half of the season?
And also with the news of Eion Bailey (adult Pinocchio) returning to Once - what role do you think he will play? do you think he's the author, do you think he knows the author - how do you think he will return, considering the last time we saw "him" he was his 7 year old pre-curse self? Could he just be relegated to flashbacks or will there be some sort of spell the fairies (if they get out of the hat) put on him to bring him back to his adult self?
Im not too sure, he's back in a recurring role, rather than a guest role so I'm not sure it'll be flashbacks.
To distinguish the two a recurring role is someone who appears in multiple episodes, some other recurring characters have been: Elsa, Anna, The Snow Queen, Zelena and Cora - this shows how important recurring characters are to the storylines
A guest role is someone who generally appears in one or two episodes in a smaller role (usually in the flashback storylines), some guest characters are: Bo Peep, Blackbeard, Helga, Gerda, Young Cora
So he will most likely play a central role to the story and I don't see him being featured in every flashback so I guess that means he could come back to present day as an adult?
Let us know your thoughts!!!!

Season 5 Recap
Its been a bit quiet here lately, another season of Once has passed so what did you think of Season 5 as a whole?
Did you enjoy Camelot/Dark Swan and the Underworld arcs this season?
What was your opinions on the Season 5 Finale?
What do you hope for going forward with Season 6?
Who's excited about the long overdue return of the Evil Queen??? :D
Season 4 Finale!
YES, I know we're late to the game, but we want to know what you're thoughts are on the S4 finale now that we've had enough time to process it (and watch multiple times!). Where you shocked by the game changing cliffhanger? Did it come as a surprise or did you see it coming? And what did you think of the alternate reality plot device they used for the second finale in a row (as you know it was previously used in S3 when Emma and Hook created an alternate past for the fairytale characters).
I just hope this is the last time they use this type of device for the finale. Sure it's fun to see the characters changed and switched up from what we kn
Mid-Season Premiere and Filming in Steveston
Almost a week late, but Once Upon A Time came back from the winter break last Sunday, what where your thoughts on the episode? what do you think about the introduction to the three new "Big Bads" of season 4b? How do you think it will all play out?
In other news, Once was filming back in "Storybrooke" on Tuesday and I was lucky enough to be able to go down on to the set to watch. I took a few pictures which I can share below, the last pic is a bit spoilery if you've not been reading any of the news surrounding the latter half of the season. They were all taken at the start of the day when the actors where blocking their scenes.
I'll outline
Welcome to Steveston
Hey guys!
I recently just moved to Vancouver this month, and one of the first things I did was naturally to visit Steveston/Storybrooke! It was brilliant actually walking the streets and seeing the different locations made famous by Once Upon A Time! As you know the Storybrooke bakery was fully dressed (as it is all year round) and Gold's Pawnshop still had the window signs visible, also the Storybrooke Library was somewhat dressed with signage! Also from the picture below you can see the Granny's Diner sign sandwiched between the real life sign (this was the same with Gold's sing out front). It was just a shame they weren't filming at the t

I think it was about time that Belle stood up to Rumple. I think this latter of the season needs to be about if he will ultimately choose magic over all else. She has stood by him for a while and he has taken that for granted. He can't exactly have his cake and eat it too. I'm glad they finally wrote that in. He needs to be challenged with his power rather than manipulate it.
I'm not surprised that Robin isn't with Regina. She is still the Wicked Queen. That's what the writers want to remind us. She's not quite there with her happy ending, but hopefully her search for the "author" will help her realize when it will be the right time. Plus, Robin did the honorable thing (which his character always does.) If he ended up with her, it would have been too easy. I think the point with him is that she had an opportunity, but she blew it. As in life, we make our decisions for a reason and the ones we miss are the ones we have to deal with and move on. Once again, she chose magic and power over love (like Rumple.) as a result of experiencing pain. I did enjoy the time they spent together, but I could sense it wouldn't last, especially knowing Mariam was still in the picture, with a kid no less.
I enjoyed Frozen in this first half of the season. I think the Frozen line was complex as it was in the First Season. I don't think they had really anything complex and surprising since the first season. The casting was well done! My favorite was Anna. She was almost identical to the movie character. I loved how they paralleled the "Snow Queen" and Frozen to remind the audience of how they had similar roots, but different outcomes. Especially since most of the audience may be unfamiliar with Andersen's "Snow Queen".
I haven't heard about Pinocchio returning, so I'll have to see about that.... obviously something prophetic is coming
Not quite thrilled however that they cast Cruella De Vil as a magical character . I understand the show twists lots of ideas and Disney concepts we have grown to love, but to me, it sounds like a stretch. I'm curious as to how they will pull that off.... If they were going to choose another villian, I would go with someone like the witch from "Rapunzel" (the original Grimm's version, not Tangled.) maybe with some modification possibly. (Personally, I wish Rapunzel had more of a storyline back in season 3.)
Well, I'll get off my soapbox now hahaha
